Raoul is a professional renewable energy engineer (Bachelor Degree of Utilities & Infrastructure Engineering (B. Eng.), University of Applied Sciences, Bremerhaven, Germany, 1989) who has been active in the international wind energy and photovoltaic industry since 1993. To date, Raoul is also the initiator of the Fremantle Wind Farm at North Mole. Given the port’s built urban environment, there is a possibility to link the Fremantle Wind Farm to the Hydrogen-based Society by providing Green Hydrogen for local transport.

In my research program I am working with my PhD students, industry partners and other universities to develop carbon neutral settlements, recycled water systems for urban villages, low cost but effective sanitation solutions for developing countries and innovative new water supply systems for remote Aboriginal communities.

Doctor of Philosophy (2013) from Central Queensland University, Australia. Before going to join at Murdoch University as a Lecturer in Electrical Engineering, GM worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Electrical and Renewable Energy Engineering, Deakin University, Australia.
GM’s research interests include power systems, smart grid, renewable energy and its enabling technologies, networking and data communication, and computer-aided technology. He is the author of more than 50 referred published book chapters, journal papers, and conference papers including IEEE Transactions, Elsevier and AIP Journals. He is a regular reviewer of the leading Journals from IEEE, Elsevier and AIP. GM is a member of IEEE, IEEE PES and Engineers Australia. GM is currently working as a lead investigator in a project "Voltage optimization technology for Australian Abattoirs", funded by AMPC.
